New Cartoons vs Old Cartoons

Tommy, the REAL Monsters, Courage, Ash, and Goku are all better than the garbage that is on television today. I decided to watch a few new-age cartoons today, and comparing them to the ones I watched in elementary school was ludicrous.

These new cartoons are vulgar, and too old for kids. Is it just that I am catching things I didn't as a kid? Or have things really changed?

Movies like The Lion King and shows like Rugrats just seemed so much more innocent and fun. What do you think? I'm personally less than amazed with today's lineups.
